Our vision and values

MD Law’s vision for the future, having gone through a huge restructure during the past five years, is to continue looking for individuals from all areas of disciplines so we can continue to offer our clients an excellent range of services. We also work closely with external consultants and encourage applications from experienced fee earners through to administration staff.

We are a diverse law firm specialising mainly in services for the individual. We have our traditional Conveyancing Department in our Whitchurch office and we also have our NEW Beddau Meeting Rooms.

We work closely with the community both locally and nationally, however we strive to provide a unique personal service and endeavour to use an empathetic approach to our clients needs and requirements. We value our clients and their instructions and we consider we are a friendly law firm who will also try to go the ‘extra mile’ to help clients quite often going through difficult periods of their lives.

It is not uncommon for clients to call in to provide us with updates on their matters. We regularly ‘pop the kettle on’ and that’s exactly what we thrive to offer; a friendly legal service where the client is seen as a person and where we will accommodate their set of circumstances as friendly and as professionally as we can.

Your feedback is equally as important to us, which is why we have set up our client care charter which invites our clients to comment on the services received from us. We will always do our best to provide the best possible legal services to our clients.

Should I make a Will?

If you are wondering when the right time to get a Will is, we have the answer - Now!

Everyone needs a Will, to ensure your hard-earnt assets are protected where possible and go to the people or causes which you care most about. Many people delay or have doubts about making a Will and around 180,000 people a year die intestate (without making a Will).

Making a Will is not only for the elderly or unwell. Ensuring you have a Will can avoid significant problems for those you leave behind.

Drafting a Will is not difficult or complex to arrange. It is, however, vital to do it before its too late so download our "Make a Will factsheet" to guide you through the Will writing process.

Parental Responsibilty

What is Parental Resopnsibility?

Parental Responsibility is defined as ‘all the rights, duties, powers, responsibilities and authority which by law a parent of a child has in relation to the child and his property’.

If you have parental responsibility you have the right to be consulted in key decisions about your child's upbringing, for example medical treatment and education.

It is solely for the interests of the child and not the parents. It does not give the parent who does not have day to day care of the child a right to interfere in routine daily issues.
